Maria Mavri is Professor of Quantitative Methods at the Department of Business Administration of the University of the Aegean. She is a member of the Board of Management of the University of the Aegean from 01/08/2023 until today and Vice President of the Regional Council for Research and Innovation (PSEK) of the North Aegean Region. Director of the Graduate Program “Business Administration for Executives-executive MBA” of the University of the Aegean and the Quantitative Methods Laboratory (QMLab) of the Business Administration department of the same University. In addition, Dr. Mavri is the coordinator of the Thematic Unit “Research Methodology in Public Administration-DMD50” of the Postgraduate Program “Public Administration and E-Governance” of the Hellenic Open University.

Dr. Mavri has served as Vice Chancellor for Research & Lifelong Education and President of the Research Committee and ELKE of the University of the Aegean from 01.09.2018 to 29.06.2022. From 2016 to 2022 she was the Institutional Manager of the Project: “University of the Aegean Higher Education Practice”.

She is a graduate of the Department of Mathematics of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens with a master’s degree in Decision Sciences from the Athens University of Economics and a PhD in Business Research from the same University.

Mrs. Mavri was a member of the Coordination Committee of the UN Innovate (2019-2021), a project implemented by the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs in collaboration with the European Commission, DG for Education, Youth Sport and Culture and the OECD Center for Entrepreneurship, SME, Cities and Regions, as well as a member of the Technology Transfer Office of the European Organization of CERN (2018-2021).

From 2005 to 2008 he worked at the Observatory for the Information Society, while from 2008 to 2010 he was a technical advisor to the “Operational Program for Digital Convergence”.

Her research interests are in operational research, additive manufacturing (3D Printing), as well as information and communication technologies (ICT).

She has participated in 30 research projects, while for the last two years she has been the scientific manager in projects funded by the European Union with the object of using 3D Printing technology in the natural sciences, urbanization and education.
